Today, you see so many videos about luxury cars, huge mansions, massive shoe collections, iced out Rolex watches, etc. Is that your motivation? Something will be drawn out for you real fast if it is.
There’s no real reason to want all of the above. It’s excessive. It doesn’t promote pure happiness. It doesn’t support a “healthy” lifestyle. It promotes show and tell. You have to really figure out what you’re looking for with in regards to your success. There’s only a few billionaires out there who don’t have massive houses, an excessive amount of luxurious cars, and a prodigious amount of “toys.” It’s incredibly rare to find people who are modest in that aspect of their success. So you may ask, then why have all that money?
Actually do something with it. There are plenty of celebrities, athletes, and public figures who aid charities and do other philanthropic things with their income. They try to make a difference for other people’s lives, but a lot of people either don’t care to look into that or simply forget about that part of their life. Funny thing is, you don’t have to have a million bucks to help people out.
Remember that there’s always someone out there who has it worse than you. That should honestly be enough of the other kind of motivation. I know that it’s great to have mentors and such, but you have to look at both sides. Look at the people who aren’t doing well. Have them motivate you. Try to create opportunity for more than just yourself when you start to become more well-off. You’ll be paid in return.
